St Jean d'Aulps is a village and resort offering a calm and friendly environment.
At St Jean d'Aulps station, the cable car takes walkers and mountain-bikers to 1500m, where there's a wealth of unspoilt routes around the Roc d'Enfer mountains, plus unforgettable views of Mont Blanc and the Dents du Midi.
The typical Alpine hamlet of Graydon sits in lush Alpine meadows encircled by jaw-dropping mountain cliffs and is worth a detour ! Throughout St Jean d'Aulps numerous routes are on offer for all levels of walker.
But the village also has a rich cultural heritage, for example Aulps Abbey, a Cistercian church dating from the XIth century, plus the Abbey Discovery Centre, housed in the renovated monastic farm.
