La Chapelle d'Abondance is hosting this year a sled dog race entirely dedicated to children! They will set off on a 4 km course at the head of their own team of 3-4 dogs, just before the official start of the Grande Odyssée.

An additional event, the Children's Odyssey is a sled dog race entirely dedicated to the youngest. A real educational and societal project, it takes place every year on one of the stages of the emblematic race in partnership with the schools of the selected destination.
This year, it is the colleges of the Vallée d'Abondance that will be involved. Starting this fall, several young people will be selected and trained by professional mushers. Then, on the day of the race, the children will set off on a 4 km course at the head of their own team of 3-4 dogs. A unique, unifying and exhilarating event where we may see vocations born in some!
