You can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the Mont de Grange and the Dents du Midi.
The path then goes into the undergrowth and the area clears and offers you splendid views. You will then follow this path which leads to the lake of Arvouin, perhaps you will see goats below the path or ibexes at the lake.

At the lake, you can continue to the chalets of Arvouin, still active alpine chalets, where Abondance cheese is made.

Situated in the heart of the protected Cornettes de Bise massif, the Arvouin lake and its surroundings are classified as a Natura 2000 area.

The tour of the lake includes some very wet stretches, so it is not advisable to walk around it.

If you wish to extend this hike, you can reach the head of the avalanche and the Serpentin pass by taking the path that climbs to the left of the lake. A magnificent view of the lake, the south face of the Cornettes de Bise, but also the mountains of Abondance awaits you there.

The return is by the same path.
