Introductory hydrospeed course

  • Nothing's better for water loving grenouilles (frogs) than a swim down the rapids of the Dranse or the Giffre.

  • “And so equipped with the flotation device called a “”hydrospeed””, a pair of fins, a reinforced neoprene wetsuit, a helmet, and a life vest; you will be ready to brave the waves, surf the white-water, and descend down the rapids….
    It’s a really fun way to discover the river and learn how to negotiate its currents, rollers, and waves. You will be instructed by our nationally certified guides on how to manoeuvre on the river in a self-assured and autonomous way.

    The sessions last on average 2 hours. They include transport to the start zone as well as a return to the meeting point. Before getting underway the group will be briefed on the various safety instructions, a description of the watercourse as well as on correct technique for swimming with fins.

    The minimum age for this activity is 14 years old. All participants should be able to swim 25ms unaided, and be comfortable in water.
  • Tips
    Frogs Rafting provide all the material you need to be secure and comfortable: helmets, life jackets, full wetsuits, boots, flippers and hydrospeed. All you need to bring is dry clothes, towels and your swimming togs.
