This snowshoe hike, which starts in the centre of the village, invites you to discover the hamlets of Frogy and Fremoux, the walk goes through forests and mountain pastures with a panoramic view of the valley and the Mont de Grange.

From the Ludoffaz car park, take the path on the right of the sledge and ski slope. Continue along the edge of the forest and then cross the bridge leading to a vast meadow. Join the road higher up on your right then go up in the forest along the stream until you reach the Vellard farm. Take the wide path on your right to the first intersection and follow the path in front of you, towards Frémoux dessus. The view on the valley of Abondance and its mountains is superb. Join the road higher up on your right then go up in the forest along the stream until you reach the Vellard farm. Take the wide path on your right to the first intersection and follow the path in front of you, towards Frémoux dessus. The view on the valley of Abondance and its mountains is superb. Between the houses, follow the meadow on your right to start your descent towards Frémoux Dessous by following the power line. From there, follow the path on your right to find the uphill route leading you to Vellard and Abondance.

By car :
From Thonon-les-Bains: take the direction of the Abondance valley by the RD22 road then Abondance.
From Evian-les-Bains: take the direction of Plateau de Gavot / Vallée d'Abondance / Vinzier. In Vinzier, take the direction of the Abondance valley.
From Monthey in Switzerland: take the direction of Col de Morgins - Châtel. Pass the villages of Châtel and la Chapelle d'Abondance.
In Abondance, take the direction of the village centre. Arriving from Thonon or Evian, turn right at the roundabout to reach the Ludoffaz snow front car park, located on the left of the gymnasium.
Coming from Châtel, turn left, cross the bridge, turn right and continue for 100 metres. Reach the Ludoffaz snow front car park, located on the left of the gym.
Thonon-Châtel bus stop (SAT): located in the centre of the village, 500 metres on foot.
Shuttle bus stop: Colombus shuttle bus running in the Abondance valley during the winter season.
