Local professionals make it a point of honour to offer an approach that is both entertaining and instructive, enabling both novice and experienced enthusiasts to learn or progress in this superb sport.

There’s something for everyone in Châtel! Accompanied or not by an instructor, on the resort’s 90km of marked mountain bike trails, from mountain bike touring to the Bike Park at Pré-la-Joux, Châtel has mountain bike itineraries for everyone.

Each season, new features and events are added to the existing services, to expand the mountain bike offering.

You also have the option of moving from one resort to another thanks to the Portes du Soleil package, just like in winter on skis!

    Les Portes Du Soleil

    For mountain biking enthusiasts, there’s an area in the Pré-la-Joux/Plaine Dranse sector, accessible via the Pierre-Longue and/or Rochassons chairlifts. It offers 20 downhill mountain bike trails of all levels of difficulty, as well as several fun areas. There’s a kid’s shore, two slopestyles (including one “pro”) and 1 pump track.
    Châtel has a wash point at Pré-la-Joux.
    The 20 trails are maintained and secured by a team of 9 “Bike Patrol” (opening and closing trails, securing the area, first aid and advice of all kinds!)

    Chatel bike park in the French alps is amazing and has so many incredible DH freeride trails, I ride my downhill bike down the sickest black level runs!
