1964, for the National Exhibition in Lausanne, a handful of visionary men imagined the first cross-border ski area. France and Switzerland joined forces to create the Portes du Soleil ski area.
The Portes du Soleil came into being through the strength of those who wanted the mountains to be within everyone’s reach according to their dreams.
