The Grande Odyssée is a dog sled race recognized as the most technical at the international level.
Combining 25 of the world’s best dog sleds, the Grande Odyssée is a long race that takes place over 10 stages and is spread out over about ten days.

The dog sleds travel more than 800 km through Savoie and Haute Savoie, climbing more than 25,000 m in the massifs of the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil domain and the Haute Maurienne Vanoise valley.

Generally held in January, this race is one of the most media-friendly and popular events of the winter. Several side events are organized to celebrate La Grande Odyssée:

– Ice carving demonstration
