Itinéraire raquettes - Tour du Corbeau Sentier du Renard

Trail markings on these itineraries are not always well-marked and are reserved for good snowshoe hikers.

The departure can be done from the Corbeau Hut restaurant, located under the chairlift of the same name. The path in the forest continues into France, in the area called Sur le Bord, and then to the Lac de la Mouille, with a breathtaking view over the Abondance Valley. Continue to the top of the Super Châtel gondola and then take the nordic path to arrive at Lac de Conche with its adjoining chalet. The trail then continues on to Chalet Neuf and climbs to Portes de Culet, a pass offering an exceptional panorama of the Dents du Midi, the Vaud and Valais Alps, and Mont Blanc. On the way down, you will walk througt an unspoiled and completely natural area. You will cross the Culet and Ecotis ski lifts. Continue down to the Têtes area and the Corbeau Hut restaurant.

- Variant from the Corbeau chairlift: go downhill about 300m to find the path that crosses the Ecotis ski-lift. From there, follow the main loop in the direction of Portes de Culet – Lac de Conche – Super Châtel – Sur le Bord – Corbeau Hut restaurant.

- Variant from Super Châtel gondola: from the gondola arrival station, follow the nordic path to Lac de Conche. At the Chalet de Conche, after a small loop in the forest, you can continue on the loop towards Chalet Neuf and the Portes de Culet pass, or go back to the gondola.

- Variant from Pas de Morgins pass: departure from the car park. The path starts from the other side of the road (cross with caution), with a slight descent in the forest. Continue on the forest trail on your right and start a rather steep climb to Sur le Bord. After several switchbacks, the path passes near the alpine chalet of Sur le Bord before arriving at the viewpoint located some hundred meters away. After admiring the view, you can return to starting point by retracing your steps, or go to the Lac de la Mouille.
