Discover one of the largest mountain bike playgrounds on the planet! With a one lift pass, access the entire area and its amenities. Discover the 12 resorts of the Portes du Soleil and enjoy 600 km of trails and 22 mountain bike lifts! All disciplines are practiced here: cross-country, enduro and downhill mountain biking.

Les Portes du Soleil, the area whose quantity and variety of trails leave you dreaming… Thanks to its topography, varied landscapes are offered to you during your rides.
According to your preferences, you can:
– venture into the heart of the fir forests, and ride down wooded trails, on winding singletracks.
– or rub shoulders with the beautiful herds in the alpine pastures by taking accessible trails and wide paths.

Take advantage of the 22 lifts to cross the Franco-Swiss border and admire the time of a descent of incredible landscapes.
A score of Bike Patrols work daily on the facilities to ensure the safety and quality of the trails.

5 Bikeparks

of worldwide renown

Avoriaz Bike Park is divided into 4 sectors: Seraussaix, Proclou, Lindarets (Lindarets + Chaux Fleurie) and Super Morzine (Zore).

The Super-Morzine sector offers pure downhill with many DH trails, including Cap Canaveral and Hattock that will have you jumpering.
The Seraussaix sector is very playful and accessible for all levels. The Proclou sector offers trails for beginners (Fourmiz) as well as for experts (Walibi). But above all, it allows you to reach the resort via the Proclou chairlift! 2 slopes open this summer to connect the ridge (arrival of the Poclou chairlift) to the resort. One for beginners and another for good riders.
The Lindarets sector will make you discover freeride with the Coupe de France track.
For the more adventurous, the Avoriaz mountain bike area has an E-VTT course that will be an excellent playground. The bravest will start the MTB Tour of the Portes du Soleil, 80 km long through the 12 resorts.

You’ll find linked enduro trails, DH trails, fun zones, hiking trails, picnic areas with barbecues available.

Mountain biking here adapts to all levels, in a preserved environment with a diversity of reliefs between valley bottoms, forests, alpine meadows, rocks and torrents…

Unleash the beast! Everything is said …
The Bike Park of Châtel is an area dedicated to mountain bike enthusiasts, developed on the Pré-la-Joux sector and accessible by the Pierre-Longue and/or Les Rochassons chairlifts.
It offers about twenty downhill profile tracks of all levels of difficulty as well as several very fun areas. There is a kid’s shore, two slopestyle (including a pro) and a pump track.

 

Les Gets, European leader in Mountain Bike
DH mountain biking, enduro, road or electric bikes… The resort of Les Gets has been a pioneering destination in cycling since 1992! Today, it is one of the world’s leading mountain bike spots, offering an exceptional Bikepark with 128 km of marked trails, including for e-bike, and infrastructure for all levels.

On the sporting front, the resort is back in full force on the MTB world circuit, as the host of the MTB World Cup Finals in 2019, 2020 and 2021 and the World Championships in 2022.

Morzine, kingdom of mountain biking
Located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil largest mountain biking area in Europe, the Morzine bike park was voted in 2020 as the best Bike Park in Europe and 8th in the world by the readers of Vital MTB, one of the most followed specialized American websites.
Set off to discover a Bike Park that wants to be in tune with the nature that surrounds it.

The Dents du Midi Region is a paradise for bikers of all kinds: Enduro, E-Bike or downhill fans. Located in the Portes du Soleil area in the Swiss Chablais, our Bikerpark offers trails and experiences for bikers of all levels: from the Géant trail in Morgins for beginners, to the black World Cup trail in Champéry for seasoned riders. Discovery Idea

The Portes du Soleil Mountain Bike Tour is an Enduro tour of approximately 80 kilometers. Starting from one of the 12 French-Swiss resorts in the Portes du Soleil area, ride through the villages in a different way: from Gets to Morzine via Avoriaz, Champéry, Châtel and the lake Léman and that of Montriond, the change of scenery is total. Ride to discover century-old alpine chalets, exceptional flora and fauna, enchanting waterfalls, facing the majestic Dents du Midi!

A dozen ski lifts, located along the alpine and equipped to transport mountain bikes, allow you to overcome the most difficult climbs and propel you to 7,000 m of negative vertical drop and some 1,000 m of positive vertical drop that give the enduro character to this tour. Note that for the more athletic, a variant is offered at the top of Châtel to switch to the discovery of Torgon, on the Swiss side.

This tour is achievable from the end of June to the end of August, with a unique Portes du Soleil pass giving access to the 22 mountain bike-accessible lifts of the Portes du Soleil domain. In order to make the most of your mountain biking vacations!

The Pass’Portes du Soleil MTB

The Pass’Portes du Soleil MTB, kicks off the summer season in the Portes du Soleil. Taking place on the last weekend of June, this mountain bike ride, starting from the Portes du Soleil resorts, allows you to ride around the area in 80 km with the help of 15 ski lifts. Its traditional refreshment stands, its mountain bike fair and its grandiose landscapes make it a friendly event that is acclaimed by mountain bikers from all over the world.
More than 8000 riders and a record satisfaction rate of 95%! What else?
