Description of stage 10 of the Tour de France 2022
The day after the rest day, the course offers a breathtaking mountain scenery in the Portes du Soleil area, bordering Lake Geneva before heading towards Megève. The route winds its way through the valleys, leading to a battle between the strongest riders at the red flame. The finish line is drawn on the altiport, as it was during the Critérium du Dauphiné 2020.

The Tour de France discovered Morzine in 1975, and climbers of all generations have excelled here, from Lucien Van Impe to Andy Schleck, Marco Pantani and Richard Virenque, the latest being Ion Izagirre, winner in 2016. But the resort has also become a Colombian land, since Lucho Herrera won here ahead of Bernard Hinault in 1985, while in 1988 Fabio Parra finished on the Tour podium thanks to his success in Morzine.
