How to

live

this experience?

We’re welcomed in the rooms on the lower ground floor of the Domaine du Baron hall, we try on our dry suits and then head for the lake… Briefing with the instructor, we get kitted out and off we go! A magical new world, with the play of bubbles and light under the ice, which is smooth, sometimes uneven or sculpted by the divers’ bubbles…

Back at the surface, you’ll be de-equipped, offered a hot drink and given a baptism certificate (or a stamp in your logbook).

Did you know?

Lake Montriond (1064 metres altitude) is the 3rd largest lake in Haute Savoie, after Lake Geneva and Lake Annecy.

It has a maximum depth of 19 metres, a maximum length of 1,320 metres and a maximum width of 235 metres!

Every winter, a layer of ice varying from 60 cm to 1 m covers the entire 10-hectare lake. This majestic site, overlooked by a cliff a few hundred metres high and bordered by a snow-covered trail over 3 km long, is filled with peace and quiet.
