On both sides of the border, 12 village resorts offer holidaymakers a distinctive holiday, allowing them to travel on skis. What is the ‘Ski + Concert’ pass?

Every year at the end of March, the 12 resorts of the Portes du Soleil are transformed into a huge open-air stage, accessible only to skiers holding a ski pass. On the programme: a week of live concerts right in the heart of the slopes, against a spectacular backdrop straddling France and Switzerland. The Ski + Concert Pass grants access to all the ski lifts in the Portes du Soleil ski area (namely the resorts of Abondance, Avoriaz, Champéry, Champoussin, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Crosets, Les Gets, Montriond, Morgins, Morzine, Saint Jean d’Aulps and Torgon), as well as entry to the concert venue. A unique event in Europe, this unusual music festival is open to ski pass holders. Every day throughout the festival, skiers are notified of the stage location and invited to head there to enjoy the concerts free of charge. For nearly a week between late March and early April, the 12 resorts of the Portes du Soleil will come alive to the rhythm of the Rock the Pistes festival, offering skiers the ultimate combination of skiing thrills and great music.

It’s time to take stock of the 14th edition of the festival set amongst the ski slopes! Take two minutes to relive the Rock The Pistes Festival 2026 in Les Portes du Soleil! With a mix of rock, rap and DJ sets, 24,000 festival-goers from all over the world came to enjoy our concerts in the heart of the Franco-Swiss ski area. A huge thank you also to all the artists from Off the Pistes for the madness they brought to the foot of the slopes in the heart of our village resorts. We’ll be doing it all again next year, from 14 to 20 March 2027 ⛷️🤘 It all happened in the Portes du Soleil 🤍

For over 10 years now, the Rock the Pistes festival has been thrilling music and skiing enthusiasts in winter! As the first festival of the spring, taking place in the third week of March, this unique festival is held on high-altitude ski slopes. Concerts by French-speaking and international rock artists such as Chinese Man, Kesiah Jones, Babyschambles, Shaka Ponk, Selah Sue, Caravan Palace, Skip the Use, Ben l’Oncle Soul and Cali… are accessible on skis every day!
