For over 50 years, the Portes du Soleil ski area has been offering a unique experience of discovering the mountains between France and Switzerland on skis. On either side of the border, 12 village resorts offer holidaymakers an original way to travel on skis. Each day offers a different skiing experience, new slopes, unusual discoveries and restaurant terraces with exceptional panoramic views. Where I come from, the ski industry has retained the best of its craftsmanship. We like to take care of our customers, giving them an individual response, pampering them so that every day of their stay is a wonderful day.

What is the ski pass + concert?

Every year at the end of March, the 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil are transformed into a huge open-air stage, accessible only to skiers with lift passes. On the programme: a week of live concerts right on the slopes, in a magnificent setting between France and Switzerland. The Ski + Concert Pass gives access to all the lift facilities in the Portes du Soleil ski area (i.e. the resorts of Abondance, Avoriaz, Champéry, Champoussin, Châtel, La Chapelle d’Abondance, Les Crosets, Les Gets, Montriond, Morgins, Morzine, Saint Jean d’Aulps and Torgon) as well as admission to the concert site. Why is Rock The Pistes THE festival not to be missed?

A unique event in Europe, this unusual music festival is open to ski pass holders. Every day for the duration of the festival, skiers are informed of the location of the stage and invited to come and take part in the concerts free of charge. For almost a week between the end of March and the beginning of April, the 12 resorts of the Portes du Soleil will be living to the rhythm of the Rock the pistes festival, offering skiers pure sensations of skiing and sound.

A unique atmosphere and experience: a festival right in the mountains!

It’s time to take stock of the 14th edition of the festival in the middle of the ski slopes! 2 minutes to relive the Rock The Pistes Festival 2026 at the Portes du Soleil! Between Rock and Rap and DJ sets, 24,000 festival-goers from all over the world came to enjoy our concerts in the middle of the Franco-Swiss ski area. A big thank you also to all the Off the Pistes artists for the madness they brought to the bottom of the slopes in the heart of our village resorts. We’ll be doing it again next year, from 14 to 20 March 2027 ⛷️🤘 It happened in the Portes du Soleil 🤍

The first spring festival!

For over 10 years now, the Rock the Pistes festival has been bringing music and skiing aficionados to their feet! The first festival of the spring, taking place in the 3rd week of March, this atypical festival takes place on the ski slopes at altitude. Concerts by French and international rock artists such as Chinese Man, Kesiah Jones, Babyschambles, Shaka Ponk, Selah Sue, Caravan Palace, Skip the Use, Ben l’Oncle Soul, Cali…, are accessible on skis every day!
So you can look forward to a Ski, Sun and Sound cocktail all winter long!
