  • This is a superb hike with a beautiful view of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps and the Roc d'Enfer. When the sky isn't too overcast, you can admire the majestic Mont Blanc in the distance!

  • The ascent to La Chaux is on a carriage road in a forest setting. It's a continuous climb, with no flat surface for a break before the destination. It's best to do it in one go! The views open up as you go along. At last, you'll find a quiet grassy area in the sun, with even a picnic table! From here, you can enjoy views of the surrounding peaks: Roc d'Enfer, Mont Blanc, Pic de la Corne, Roc de Tavaneuse...
