  • Take the trail that runs along Lake Montriond in a beautiful Canadian atmosphere.

  • From Avoriaz, take the same route as the start of the Lindarets walk. At the Lécherette plateau, take the Ardent cable car down to the Ardent parking lot.

    1. At Ardent, cross the parking lot and follow the path towards the Ardent waterfall and the Aubertans (a groomed path for pedestrians, an ungroomed one for snowshoeing). Continue to the end of the lake.

    1. At Ardent, cross the parking lot and follow the path towards the Ardent waterfall and the Aubertans (a groomed path for pedestrians, an ungroomed one for snowshoeing). Continue to the end of the lake.

    2. Take the trail that runs along the lake on its non-wooded side. This groomed path is more suitable for walking than for snowshoeing. The return to Ardent is via the same route. Once at Ardent, you can continue to the Parchets Nature Reserve, where you might observe the numerous chamois!

    To take the Ardent cable car, remember to buy your pedestrian pass in Avoriaz before you leave.

    For a shorter walk, you can directly access Lake Montriond by taking the Prodains cable car and the A and M shuttles.
