  • This easy hike on the heights of the valley of Abondance takes you to the chalets of Mouet. A beautiful panorama on the summits of the valley and the Swiss Alps awaits you!

    From the Sevan parking lot (1,590 m), the hike begins with a forest path towards the Mouët chalet. You'll then follow a long path on the balcony of the valley, with a superb panorama of Mont de Grange. You're on the Portes du Soleil walking tour.

    You'll then reach Chalets du Mouët. In summer, you can take a gourmet break at this mountain pasture or buy Abondance cheese.

    For the return journey, head for Le Douert, then take the pleasant forest path back to the starting point.

    From Le Mouët, a variation is possible (red level: +1 h 30): head towards Le Mouet/le Petit Châtel, which will take you to Barbossine and then on to Col du Saix. Nice view of Châtel and La Chapelle.
