From the top of the village of Champoussin, at the Ferme à Gaby, hike up the drivable road up to the restaurant "Chez Gaby 1670" and turn right toward the alpine restaurant "Les Bochasses." Pass Les Bochasses and after 200 m, leave the road and follow the wide path on the left, which climbs up to Pertuis Chétrain.
Take along the ridge to the left, passing under the upper station of the blue Bochasses...Champoussin – Pertuis Chétrain – Pointe de l'Au – Col Portes du Soleil - Champoussin
From the top of the village of Champoussin, at the Ferme à Gaby, hike up the drivable road up to the restaurant "Chez Gaby 1670" and turn right toward the alpine restaurant "Les Bochasses." Pass Les Bochasses and after 200 m, leave the road and follow the wide path on the left, which climbs up to Pertuis Chétrain.
Take along the ridge to the left, passing under the upper station of the blue Bochasses chairlift. The marked trail first runs slightly below the ridge, then rejoins it. To reach the summit of the Pointe de l’Au at 2,152 m—the highest point of your hike—you have two options: either take a very narrow, steep path going up to the right just before the top of the third chairlift, or follow the wider trail that goes around the lift station on the left.
Enjoy a well-deserved picnic break with panoramic views of the Dents du Midi, the Dents Blanches on your right, and the Vaud Alps to your left. Then descend the ridge on a trail leading to the Portes du Soleil pass at 1,950 m, an iconic spot in the Portes du Soleil area.
From the pass, go down the drivable road in the direction of Vaillime/Les Crosets, but after 400 m, take the grassy trail on the left that crosses the ski lift (just above the small cabin) and descends to the Col du Pas de Croisette. Unless you take a snack break at the Relais Panoramique (located 300 m below), walk the drivable road on the left down back to Champoussin.
