  • The small hamlet "the Mont" is situated in the uplands of Abondance. It is composed of traditionnal farms around a chapel. The architecture and the place are typical of the local habitat of the Vallée d'Abondance

  • The tour lasts 1h30 without visiting the sites, there is a 55 minute variant.

    You can avoid the road by taking a forest path from the Combafou sign, direction Les Contamines.
    Add to the basic time 15 minutes for the ascent and 10 minutes for the descent.

    Once past the hamlet, at the crossroads look out over the superb view of the upper valley of Abondance, then turn left towards La Plagne du Mont. After 100 m, turn left on the path that goes straight down, you will join the asphalt...
