UCI competitions

in the Portes du Soleil for 2024

One year after hosting the UCI Mountain Bike World series Festival Haute-Savoie (an XXL round of the World Cup), the Portes du Soleil is doing it again in 2024! The program includes UCI-certified international competitions: Les Gets will be the setting for Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-Country Short Track (XCC) and Downhill (DHI) events. The best downhill mountain bikers will then return to Portes du Soeil to compete in the European Championships in Champéry! The season comes to a close in style, again in the Dents du Midi region, with the hosting of the penultimate qualifying event for the UCI Gravel World Championships: the Alpine Gravel Challenge.

Les Gets

July 4>7, 2024

DHI – XCC – XCO

For the third year running, the Mountain Bike World Cup returns to Les Gets! The world’s best DH and Cross-country riders will once again battle it out in Les Gets. Les Gets and international mountain bike competitions: a love story that lasts. The village of Les Gets has it all: – Mythical or soon-to-be mythical DH trails on the Mont Chéry side. – A demanding cross-country circuit on the Chavannes side. – An unbelievable public ready to lose all control when a tricolored jersey steps onto the podium. The 2004 and 2022 World Championships will forever be part of French and international mountain bike legend, and we’re betting on new antics for the 2024 World Cup!

Champéry

August 9>11, 2024

Alpine Gravel Challenge

The penultimate qualifying event for the UCI Gravel World Championships, the Alpine Gravel Challenge will take place in the Dents du Midi region on Sunday, September 8, 2024. This will be the very first edition of the TREK UCI Gravel World Series to be held on a cross-border territory, in this case the Portes du Soleil area straddling Switzerland and France. Riders will compete on the Haute Cime, Forteresse or Cathédrale courses, in tribute to the famous Dents du Midi massif, which will be the backdrop for the day’s events.
