Ski fanatics are often faced with profound dilemmas:
Is it time to break out the 120mm fats to explore the resort’s freeride sectors and soak up the thrills in the Portes du Soleil’s powder reserve? Or how about slalom skis to carve curves on firm, perfectly-worked snow?

In the same way, dilettante skiers can opt for a ski pass adapted to their needs depending on the day’s weather. This is an opportunity to ski for just half a day and take the opportunity to visit Morzine, a village of wood and slate nestling in the heart of Haute Savoie. Morzine is the ideal cocoon for your mountain holidays in summer and winter. Situated in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine offers a warm Savoyard welcome, a gentle blend of tradition, generosity and friendliness.

Come and try your hand at a range of winter sports, including freestyle, freeride, downhill skiing, telemark skiing… and much more besides. In summer, go from one world to another

By responding to greyness with greenery, to tumult with calm, to overpopulation with wide open spaces, the mountains are the ideal alternative to city life, a relaxing and revitalising interlude.

Tucked away in a lush valley, under the benevolent gaze of the surrounding peaks, Morzine in summer is the place to be:

– on the gently sloping south-facing slopes, in the sun, for moments of relaxation and rejuvenation ;

– on the north side, in the shade of the tall spruce trees, for more extreme activities.

Similarly, in the event of bad weather, these cameras can show you where the rain-snow line is, what the temperatures are, the strength of the wind and the visibility at the foot of the slopes and at the summit. They’re great tools to help you equip yourself perfectly for the conditions you’re going to encounter (goggles or sunglasses? down jacket or little jacket?).
If you’re happy to discover that the weather on the slopes is great, you’ll be able to make sure you don’t miss out on a great day out, and you’ll also be able to choose the right ski pass for the conditions!
If there’s a lot of snow, you might prefer to ski for just a few hours in the morning before coming back down to enjoy a cosy chalet by the fire… On the other hand, today the powder and the sun are out: it’s the perfect day to explore the whole Portes du Soleil ski area!
