Balade Gourmande E-Bike

Set amidst an alpine landscape with the Dents du Midi as a backdrop, this route will introduce you to the region’s local cuisine against a backdrop of fall colors. The ride offers you the chance to sample traditional regional dishes while cycling through mountain scenery of exceptional beauty.

A gourmet breakfast, homemade and hearty refreshments, and local wines: you won’t know where to look first! The perfect blend of culinary delight and the joy of cycling.

Route information:
> To make your experience even more enjoyable while preserving the event’s gourmet and friendly spirit, the route has been slightly adjusted. It will be 33 km long and will include a ride on the Morgins cable car, thereby reducing the elevation gain and the actual distance covered by bike. Ultimately, the actual distance cycled will be approximately 32 km with 835D+
> Allow about 5 to 6 hours to fully enjoy this magnificent culinary and athletic experience, including approximately 2.5 hours of cycling.
> The route does not present any major technical difficulties and is suitable for people who are comfortable on a bike and accustomed to riding on mountain trails (mostly 4x4 trails).
> However, a short descent may require a bit more confidence. This section will be marked in advance, and participants who wish to do so can simply dismount for this descent.
> The ticket price includes the ride up the Morgins gondola, during which you can enjoy a pleasant break from the ride.
> Live music to wrap up the ride at Le Virage restaurant.

Food stands:
> Welcome stand: coffee or tea, mini pastries from La Boulan’Tine.
> L'Etable des Crosets: homemade snacks, an assortment of seasonal fruits, homemade granola bars, and fruit juice with tonic water.
> Col des Portes du Soleil - Saveurs des Dents du Midi: Valais-style platter, rye bread, a glass of wine or apple juice.
> La Foilleuse: vegetable soup and rösti, drink of your choice (glass of wine or soft drink)
> Les Bochasses: Bochasses cheese platter, drink of your choice (glass of wine, beer, or soft drink).
> Le Virage: gourmet coffee or tea, digestif.

Required gear:
> Mountain bike helmet (required)
> Athletic shoes
> Water bottle
> Clothing and gear appropriate for the weather conditions.

Practical information:
> Large parking lot available for free all day at the Champeys ski lift.
> The gourmet e-bike tour is also available on mountain bikes, provided participants are in good physical condition.
> The event will take place even in the rain. It will be canceled if conditions make riding unsafe, particularly in the event of forecasted thunderstorms.
> For anyone booking a ticket that includes an e-bike rental (limited availability) through our online ticketing system, the e-bike will be available for pickup directly at the trailhead and will already be paid for.
> Ticket sales close on Wednesday, September 23, at 5:00 p.m.

E-bike rides are available to young people ages 14 and up who have a moped license, or ages 16 and up.

For e-bikes the minimum age is 14 years.
Very young children can accompany their parents in a child seat.
No minimum age for muscle bikes
