The cable car linking Champéry to the Croix de Culet was built in 1987 by the famous ropeway transport company Garaventa. The 2 cabins hold 125 people, with an hourly flow of 1,000 people. The cable car spans a distance of 899 vertical meters from the departure point at 1,037 m altitude to the arrival point at 1,936 m.

At the top, pedestrians in search of tranquillity will be awestruck by the panoramic views from the Croix de Culet while skiers can access the vast Portes du Soleil ski slopes. In summer, mountain bikers can set off for a multitude of downhill and enduro trails and hikers equipped with the Multi Pass can take the cable car and all of the Portes du Soleil lifts for free.

At the arrival point, and the jumping-off point for the ski slopes, you will find a restaurant, snack bar, restrooms, and panoramic views from a vast, sunny terrace.

    How to get here?

If you are arriving by car, there is a large car park in front of the cable car. It is free in summer and costs CHF 5.- per day in winter. Overnight parking is not allowed in winter.

The AOMC regional train arrives right at the departure station of the cable car ('Champéry' stop).
