On the first Wednesday of the month, a town in the Chablais region of Valais hosts an evening unlike any other. At 7 p.m., the audience gathers in front of the town hall before heading to the home of a local resident, who opens their doors especially for this event.

For about 30 minutes, a storyteller and a native speaker of a foreign language tell the same story together in two voices and two languages, each speaking in their own language, without translation.

As the story unfolds, the audience discovers a different culture, language, and world. The stories may be accompanied by songs, music, gestures, images, objects, clothing, games, or even food tastings, depending on the talents and traditions shared during the evening.

Each gathering is thus unique and offers a true opportunity for discovery. Stories from here and elsewhere become a pretext for meeting, exchanging ideas, and building bridges between cultures.

The evening continues with a friendly get-together over drinks and snacks, allowing participants and storytellers to continue their conversations.

A warm, human, and culturally enriching experience to enjoy with family, friends, or simply out of curiosity.
